Owner
Rolando Bodden grew up on the east end of the island. For sixteen years he enjoyed swimming and being out on the water as a boat captain. At the age of twenty he decided to try scuba, and that decision changed his life forever — he developed a passion for diving. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced diver, Rolando finds great joy in providing that same diving experience with a local touch.
Head Instructor
Originally from Guatemala, Velvet is a seasoned PADI Staff Instructor. Her career is a map of exploration and mentorship, spanning the vibrant waters of Southeast Asia, the biodiversity of Nicaragua, and the Caribbean splendour of Honduras. After exploring numerous global destinations she has established her professional practice in Roatán since 2015. With a patient, structured and bilingual teaching style, she is dedicated to empowering her students while instilling a deep respect for the delicate marine ecosystem she calls home.
Beyond her role as a dive educator, Velvet actively collaborates with the Roatán Marine Park through their Volunteer Program, integrating scientific diving and citizen science into her life underwater.
Boat Captain
Erick Mckenzie was born and raised on the island and loves what he does. His whole life was spent around family who work on the water, among them many boat captains — and his dream was to become one too.
